I'm performing a study of the best method of modeling interference/clearance fit fasteners using pro/MECHANICA. It is possible to model fasteners in a hole using gap elements, spring elements, constraints, etc.... and all of the results look good but the stress distribution is slightly different with each one.
I'd like some empirical data based to verify which method models various pins in a hole most accurately. Ideally, test data based on a very large lug with many strain gages with different pin clearances would be perfect.

Does anyone know of a good website (or other source) that has a collection of lab tests with applicable data?

Good job, 'Rikman'. This was a neat website. You're right - it did not have exactly what I'm looking for but it has other great references.

EasyAim,

I have used the contact functionality in Pro/MECHANICA for fasteners with success although I have not used other methods to compare the results with. I would suggest first performing a Google search ( I would also try other alternative keywords and perhaps eliminate the Pro/MECHANICA requirements to find some good general solutions.
