Grafoil 2 pices of 1/8" insted one 1/4"

I'm giving maintainance to a 12" 600 lbs three pice trunion valve. But where i am its complicated to find 1/4" grafoil. My doubt is can i use two pices of 1/8" instead the 1/4" . Is it posible?

...Even if this under certain circumstances perhaps could be practical possible, you will 100% sure have done something not supported by manufacturor and maintenence protocol. If you break this protocol you will lose any supplier warranty, and should ask yourself the question of who is going to bear cost and responsibillity if anything goes wrong.

Will the enduser agree and free you from any responsibillity?
