G'Day, tell me, is there a way that I can do a 'find/replace' with a graphic, ie. exploded terminal block. If it was a block maybe I could redefine it, but its not so I cant. I need 2 replace a certain type of terminal
with another type of terminal on about 100000000 drawings. Lots of these drawings are very similar, with just different
text, so maybe I could do something flash with attaching an
xref of the right terminal blocks in the right place and
then copying that xref 2 make it part of the drawing ? I
know it is possible in Microstation, is it possible in
Acad ? Cheers.

Hi,

As I understand it right you can use the text and the excisting terminals but you need to add a detail to the terminals (which all are located the same for all drawings?)?
If so, you should be able to make a block with all the new details and insert it in a batch operation using Multibatch (US$33). Have a look at it at multi-batch.com, download a demo at try it. For me it has been well worth it. As fare as I know Acad doesn't offer any posibilities like this.

Tom

There is a graphic find - try typing (ssx) in response to "move" command. For a program example, to select all lines in a LISP routine, include the statement (setq A (ssget "x" '((0 . "line")))). Does that help?
