graphic problem ACAD2000i 2

I'm using Acad 2000i under WIN2000.

Since I don't know the right termin for the problem i'll try to explain it.

when, for example, i draw a rectangle, after pointing at first corner point i dont get a visual aid while moving crosshair (there is no variable coursor-position-depending rectangle since the other corner point is defined). After defining other corner the rectangle is drawn correctly.
The same things happens during copy or move commands etc.

I guess there must be some problem with graphic card (MSI MX200) since the problems started after installing it. I tried several different drivers but problem stays.

Anyone had a similar problem? Any solutions?

Looks like a syste variable setting.

Command: _dragmode

If it is zero, set to 2;
If it is off, set to "on"

unfortunately, the problem stays on even dragmode variable was off.

dragmode is to be made "on" and its value to be made 2

Hey, you were right.
The DRAGMODE variable should be set to "Auto" (I guess it is 2 value).
Have you got an idea what changed it to zero (not me)?

No idea why sometimes dwg settings change. Autocad is not matured yet, I guess, but it is getting there.
