I'm looking for recommendations on software that can graphically display data (currently in the .csv format) that I am pulling together from 5 different recorders.

We are monitoring a drive system that is connected to a soft utility and have data from a couple of dranetz's on the power system, the site controller, and two 8 channel data recorders at the drive.

The duration of the transients are approximately 2 seconds, so the inherent errors in the timestamps will have to be pulled out in order to synchronize signals from different devices. Also each device had a difference sample rate, so the data was logged at different intervals.

I know how I would go about aligning and scaling signals on a per-unit base by manual manipulation, but I'm hoping that someone has experience with software that they recommend for this application. The time saved would probably easily pay for the software.

Ideally, the software would do autoscaling, filtering (hi, lo and band), stack traces, or have the ability to scale the y axis to multiple signals simultaneously. The trending software that I use in current generation drives is great for all of this, but it wont accept non-native signals.

Best Regards and thanks in advancefor any tips.

Recommended for you

I have used the LabView software from National Instruments with good succes in bringing in data from different devices and displaying it.

There was a learning curve but there are lots of books, tutorials, and classes available, and the more we get used to it the more we use it.

Thanks catserveng. I'll check it out.

Any other recommendations?
