Just wondering if anyone here knows any good reference books or papers (ideally online resources) for the gravity base foundation design for offshore structures?

The vertical support is relatively easy to calculate using typical shallow foundation design principles, but offshore gravity base foundations are usually used to resist comparably high horizontal loads and overturning moments from the wind/current/wave actions? I'm kind of stuck in this....

Don't have anything at hand - but Golder and some Canadian companies did a lot of work on this back in the late 70s and early 80s for the Beaufort Sea - might try googling something along those lines. One author is a guy named Mike Jeffries.

Foundation Engineering Handbook 2ed by Hsai-Yang Fang has a decent chapter on offshore foundations. I would look at the reference section for in depth design items. Check out your public library or search google books.
