Hmmmm.
I am relatively new to Solidworks and I have a problem.
I have an imported IGES model which I am trying fill in a profiled hole. I have drawn my sketch, but the Extrude button is greyed out. The Extrude Cut command is available, but that is no good to me - I want to add material, not take it away.

Any suggestions?

Paul.

Make sure you are working in a part file and not an assembly. Sometimes imported iges files create an assembly in SolidWorks if the iges file has separate solid bodies. You may be working in an assembly and do not realize it. In assemblies you can remove material but not add it, which may be the explanation as to why the extrude feature is greyed out and the cut feature is available. In order to add material, you must be in a part file.

Is you part even "solid" yet? A lot of IGES comes in a surfaces.

I was - and he did. So at least I didn't get coal.....
OK, OK, It's a reference to my holiday sig. "Be naughty - Save Santa a trip..."

I was working in an assembly. All fixed and OK.
