Hello,

Is there a way to calculate in NX 7.5 or NX 8.0 the gross volume of a piece? I don't look for the net volume, I know that Nx can calculate it, but I Have no idea if NX can calculate the gross volume with the maximum dimensions of the piece without count drills, milling, etc
Thanks for your suggestion

Do you mean as if the interior of the part was solid? In other words, the volume of space occupied by something that had been shrink-wrapped?

yes! I mean without bear in mind holes, etc. In others words, I like to calculate the volume of a block that "wrap" the piece.

Thanks for your help

If you have an Advanced Assemblies license, we provide a few different methods under...

Assemblies -> Advanced -> Wrap Assembly/Linked Exterior/Simplify Assembly...

Sorry, I haven't the advanced Assemblies licence.

the piece is not an assemblie, it's all pieces that I'm drawing, one by one.

Thanks

Note that despite the fact that these are ostensibly 'Assembly' tools, they'll work in a single part file with only solid models.
