Ground wells - Concrete, PVC, or HDPE

I want to ask other people for their opinion and experience with ground wells and the type of material preferred. One manufacturer stated that concrete wells are prone to cracking and other forms of deterioation, that they have discontinued fabricating ground well with concrete. Instead they recommend the use of Sch 40 PVC with galvanized steel covers that have been rated for traffic and claimed to be impervious to all ground conditions.

My concern was in the structural integrity with using PVC. I would prefer concrete or HDPE type material. But I'd like to elicit other people's experience on this subject.

We use wells that are all galvanized steel. They work well until the ground around them settles and they stick out. Then they usually get crushed by something / someone.

In general, we don't like using ground rod wells, unless we need to.

Thanks for some of your comments. I also like to go to another source for parts, but before I do that I want to research a little more why concrete is banned from one company vs others, and if it is truly better to use other material. I know concrete is good for at least 10,000lbs traffic loading.
