How the metallic ducts should be grounded? NFPA - 70 : National Electrical Code suggest for " Bonding all piping and metal air ducts within the premises will provide additional safety ". However, if this is not considered in design , that must be based on experience or any suitable evidence.

Should we provide grounding Lugs at each duct connection ? If so what would be proposed size for the same?

Inputs would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check in the NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code - NEC) the article 250 for grounding application.
See below if the indicative figure could help to illustrate the grounding need
There are short of information in your post (Ex. voltage, total ampacity, application, location of the installation, etc.)
