Grouting level for the Baseplates of KSB pumps

In my projects I have 9 KSB horizonal booster pumps, MULTITEC Type, the manufacturer's recommendation for installing the pumps baseplates call for the following :

Text : "shims shall be fitted between the baseplate/foundation frame and the foundation itself.For bolt-to-bolt clearance > 800mm, additional shims shall be used. Baseplate more than 400 mm wide shall be grouted up to the upper frame edge using low shrinkage concrete"

All the 9 pumps have baseplates of more than 400mm wide, My concern is about the final level of grouting. Is the upper frame edge mean the same as the upper level of the baseplate ? I'm confused because after grouting the whole baseplate to the top it will be fixed for ever ? I attached a photo for the pump showing the level that I think grout should reach it ? Please confirm to me the level of grouting ????

I worked round the paper industry for many years and all our baseplates were designed to be fully grouted to the upper level of the baseplate. This is necessary in the paper industry as it is a very wet environment but it also makes for a very substantial and rigid installation.
 
Yep that is right, fill it to the top. If you're lucky it will remain fixed forever.

If you need to uninstall it, that is why they make jack hammers....

Have to agree with all said so far. Fill to the top Artsi is right the base frame makes a good dam that will eventually cause the base frame to rust away. Additionally the frame although quite stiff is still elastic and will allow vibration. I have had experience with pump installations (large Hydro Titans) where adjacent pump frames have simpathetic vibration when not fully filled with grout! Thsi caused brinelling of bearings in stand by pumps, consequently the stand by pump really was not!
So fill 'er up!
