GSD - how to make planar face intersection automatic?

This should be a fairly intuitive process, I would think. Rather than having to transparently create a plane for each face that I wish to intersect, is it possible to force Catia to automatically extrapolate (theoretically, of course) faces, or to have it recognize all planar faces as planes?

I am creating reference geometry in an assembly context.
