Has anyone addressed the new CE Machinery Directive stating that all fixed guards require the fixing systems have to be remain attached to the guards or to the machinery when the guards are removed? Also, where possible, guards must be incapable of remaining in place without their fixings.

This change will require costly changes to guarding. Any low cost solutions to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Since 'elf 'n safety don't worry about costs, they don't care! It's causing us a problem to try and impliment it though.

And you need to consider what one of these guys might consider a "guard" to which they can try and apply these these rules.
