Guyed Flare Design -Y direction Force

Can anyone suggest the reason for a -Y direction force witnessed in case of a Guyed Flare design?

You are not giving enough information. However, the only "-Y" force you should have is the dead weight of the stack itself.
 
When the vessel deflects, the guy wire will restraint the vessel. Depending upon the stiffness of the wire (& the vessel) the vessel will see reaction of the wire.

This reaction can be broken down in to 2 components, one acting down on the vessel and one horizontal (in the direction of the wire attachment).

Where is the vessel in this problem?
We are talking about a Flare Tip which is sitting on a vertical structure which is supported / tied back (guyed) to grade with wires.

Is the Flare & Flare Tip on what location: FPSO, LNG FPSO, TOPSIDE PLATFORM?

BTW - I have not to date seen a guyed flare on an FPSO, LNG FPSO, TOPSIDE PLATFORM
 
Hello folks

The problem is complex with a high degree of indeterminacy because of the elastic nature of the vessel components and guys. Mandeep pointed out one of the problems in that tension of the non-redundant guy imposes a vertical compressive force on the vessel.

However, I have seen this type of system analysed using piping analysis software. Several programmes are commercially available which (with a little creativity) can do this
