H2S Removal From Digester Gas Question 1

I'm working on gas treatment for a digester / cogen application, and need some help on H2S removal.

After the anaerobic digesters, there will be water filled bubblers, and then Sulfa Treat tanks for the bulk of the H2S removal. With the cost of the Sulfa Treat media, I was wondering if there was anything I can do in the bubblers to remove some H2s and help extend the life of the media.

As a mechanical engineer, I'm a bit out of my element with this kind of chemistry. Not looking for any free design work, just some pointers as to if the idea has merit, and for some pointers as to where to look for the final solutions.

Thanks

Jeff,
Contact the guys @ Guard Products at They specialise in chemical additives for removal of H2S from digester processes.
You can either mist it above the digester tanks, or they may have an option for your adding to the bubbler water for additional removal.
Cheers.
