Hi,

you should do change the Style of that specific dimension, and on the Dimensions-tab disable Display Arrow on Side 1 or 2, depending on the selecting sequence.
You should do the same with Display Extension Line on Side 1 or 2.

Hope it is clear...

NX8 and waiting for NX 8.5, on Win7 64 Bit

Yes in annotation style, tab Dimensions, you will see the manual or automatic placement tab. Next to it there is the option of placement of arrow and extension line on side 1 and side two. Normally it's orange, click on it and it will be greyed out. Then you can play with the length of the remaining line in the Line/Arrow tab.

Best regards,

Michaël.

Hi guys,
the UNI-3973 and 3974 standard for drawing say that dimension must stay over the dimension line.

Thank you...

Hi Cubalibre00 ,
I am unware of any direct method (the reason what i guess is that untill the dimension value breaks the arrow lines into two partition by placing itself in the middle there is no way we can control or treat the dimension arrow and extension seperately into two parts).
But still i managed to get a workaround if seems usable to you. Please find attached an image herewith.

Hi Cubalibre00 ,
If you right click the dimension and choose STYLE.then in the third tab LETTERING you will find this option ALIGNMENT POSITION.In and all i used an already created expression to fill in the Dimension text value.(Right click dimension/EDIT APPENDED TEXT).Sorry but this is the only thing i can get hold of.

What I do when I want to "hack" something like that away is use a gap, change its length to what is needed to do the job, and add it to the drafting entity.
It will initially take some practice, but if you have problems just post them.
