Hi,

So I have a vertical pressure vessel, where the shell has a half pipe on it (single coil, pic attached). Usually, I'd just do a Half Pipe Jacket calc as per Appendix EE, but this shell has holes on it, i.e. the half pipe sees the same pressure as the shell inside. Are there any UG guidelines that I can follow here? Any help is appreciated, thanks

So this makes the halfpipes and their welds part of the primary pressure boundary?
I don't have any idea of how to address that situation.

Wouldn’t it then make it some sort of bellow?

Do you have a more inclusive/complete sketch?
