Hello every one,

I want to perform parallel wheel travel and opposite wheel travel analyses with wheels at extreme position.

Is it possible to perform these half vehicle simulations (Front Ride Motion, Front Displacement Roll Motion) in Adams Chassis with a fixed steer position ?

If yes, please help me out with the approach.

Thanks & Regards
Karthik

Not directly, so far as I know.

Perhaps you could run a mini event to turn the steering wheel to full lock and then run the ride event.

Or you can definitely turn the steering wheel during the test using motsub 735.

Neither is really satisfactory.

That probably sounds baffling. The usual way to do soemthing complex is to do a gdiff between the adm and acf files for two tasks, each of which does half the job. SO in this case, run steer and fride, then do a gdiff to see how the testrig is constructed for each test. then cut anad paste to give a hybrid test.

Adams modellers use text editors and gdiff as much as the gui.
