Dear Sir,
I would ask you for the hardness measurements for tubes with material SA213 T22 ,the tubes are bent with 90° bent ,radius of bend is 50mm ,the tubes also welded to header with material SA 335 P11 ,the heat treatment had been issued for the material after bending and welding to 650°c ,one hour hold , 100°c/hr for heating and cooling rate ,the measurements after heat treatment was from 175 HB to 185 HB in the bending zone and welding zone ,please advise if the measurements are accepted or we need to do heat treatment again and your recommendation for that The tubes are 38.1 o.d. x 4 mm thick ,the header is 323.8 o.d. x 17.48 mm thick.
Thank you in advance

Regards

These are acceptable hardness values for post forming/welding heat treatment.

Dear Mahmoud,

You can safely follow the hardness values as per B 31.3 although we are talking of tubes here.

Regards.
