Hello all

Does anyone know where i can find Hardog's book "Strength of Materials'? I heard a lot of good feedback about it. And I am particularly interested in chapter 27 "plastic deformations". I analyse bending of beams beyond elastic limit and looking for some methods to check results from FEM.

Thank you for help

Dover still publishes this book as well as a lot of other classics, and they're extremely affordable. As pointed out above, amazon is a source for these books. Otherwise try a local college bookstore. If you like Den Hartog, you can also get his advanced strengths book, "Mechanics", and a vibrations book he wrote, all from the same publisher. I can't speak about the vibrations book, but the others are good.
