Hi Everyone,

Has anyone seen the following error message when running a pressure calculation on a model using COSMOSXpress?

"Pressure <Load1> Transfer Failed"

I get this from time to time when running analyses but when clicking "OK" the calculation seems to simply continue and complete. There is no additional information in the help file on this. I also checked with a friend of mine who's used COSMOSWorks pretty extensivedly for any clues that might help explain what this message means and see if affects whether or not I'm on the right track with my design but he does not recall seeing anything specific previously.

I've refined the mesh to the smallest size possible but still encounter the message. I'm using SW04 SP2.1 right now but saw it a number of times while still running SW03. I am by no means an analysis geek so perhaps this would make more sense if I had more of a clue. Any thoughts or help are most appreciated.

The pressure is assigned to a surface of your model.
If you modify your model and, by any chance, internal references of the surface change, the link between restraint and surface can be lost.

COSMOS knows that there is a restraint but doesn't know where the link to the model is, reporting the error.

Changing the mesh will not help. You need to clear the restraint and create a new one.

macPT,

Thank you very much for the clarification. I will try to keep this in mind from now on.
