hello ,
i'm manju studying msc in structures my dissertation work is on creating composite laminate(glass-epoxy) single lap joint using multi fastner..using abaqus in 2D..and obtaining the result regarding hashins failure damage, and progressive failure since i'm new to abaqus and i have limited time constraint could any one help out in ths model ..the model is consider two laminate(laminate 1 and laminate 2) connected or overlaped by single lap joint with multi fastners (4 in numbers) 2row 2 columns, one end laminate 1 is fixed and end of laminate 2 is applied with shell edge force.
part :- 2d ,defromable,shell( i have created)
property : i have assigned engg constants e1,e2,e3.g12,g13,g23,(in GPA) nu12,n23,n13 and also hashin dmage xt,xc,yt,yc,shear in longitudinal and transverse(Mpa).
[highlight #CC0000]question:- is there any thing that i need to add in properties to get hashins damage and progressive failure i think damage frcture enengy and viscocity coefficient as to be added..could u plz specify the value or just tell me the link that i have to follow[/highlight]
assembly: i have created instance joined this laminate using translate option in the form of lapjoint.

interaction: [highlight #CC0000]question 1:- what type of interaction that i should used for the laminates ,is it surface to surface or i have created interaction property and if i use find contact pair option it automatically take surface to surface option but is highlights red zero in separation block (indicating intersection) so i don't what as to be done[/highlight]
