I'm using AutoCAD 2000.

Now, I'm modeling in 3d and then using SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW to project 2D orthogonal views of my part. Problem is, there are certain areas on the model that I want to be distinguished using hatches. So, I hatch a particular face on a 3D solid. But when I use SOLDRAW, the hatch pattern disappears.

My question is, is there a way to retain the hatch pattern? Cuz ultimately, I need to export this to Adobe Illustrator and unless I use SOLDRAW, it won't automatically hide the hidden lines in the model.

Can anyone help? thanks!

double click in the viewport for the view you want the hatch to be seen in. go the layer menu, and turn the layer for the hatch on in the current view. When you soldraw it tuned off all the layers in that view except for the solview layers.
