Dear All,

I would like to know the ASME standard for the hazard analysis of valves.
Thanks in anticipation.I would appreciate any reply.

Crane,

I do not believe that there is an answer to your question...

ASME, API and ANSI codes and standards provide rules for the specification, design, testing and inspection of valves and many other mechanical components and structures.

A "hazard analysis" of a valve, in my opinion, involves it's function within a system during a certain operating situation.

There is an OSHA ruling that addresses "hazard analyis" (sometimes called HAZOP evaluation)...

Please go to the USA OSHA website for more info....

My opinion only
