Hazardous Locations -- Vehicle Maintenance Facility

I am a BAS controls engineer, and am having issues finding any code requirements for type of NEMA enclosures needed. The spaces are marked as Class I Div 2, but at certain heights, do those requirements still uphold. Getting 18 NEMA 7 enclosures for Unit Heaters in the spaces will be quite costly and is not is budget. Are there places that I can look for more information regarding height requirements by NFPA/NEC. I have gone through Article 506 and have found nothing. There seems to be a lot of gray area. We will be supplying these enclosures with 120V, and stepdown transformer to 24 volts. Any information will me much appreciated. Thanks.

You might look at Article 511. It is generally applicable to this type of facility.
