Is anyone familiar with hydrofracture calculations for Horizontal Directional Drilling based on the Delft Geotechnics method?
I am particularly interested in the reason the pore water pressures are added to the total stresses instead of the effective stresses when computing the maximum mud pressure. Eventhough the technique refers to the stresses as effective stresses in the literature.
Any help would be much appreciated.
