Hello,

I have a 63" HDPE manhole with 30"in and a 30"out plus a 15"out. We only want flows out of the manhole through the 15" at this time and want to block the 30"out until the upstream infrastructure is built out.

What would be the best way to plug the 30"out pipe that can be taken out in the future and put the 30" pipe in service. Just a simple pipe plug from inside the manhole and grouted would probably be best?

Thanks

How big is your access? It's going to be hard to put a 30" plug through a 24" manhole cover. May need some sort of inflatable device.

Could you put in a couple 1x4's crossed about 12 inches into the 30 inch. Then get some hydrophilic gout and fill up the 12 inches and a couple more 1x4's. When you need the 30 inch line, it won't be hard to take out. De Neef and Avanti make the grout along with a few others.
