Using Arch. desktop 2i I've attached my floor plan as an x-ref to create my structural drawings. I would like to adjust the "cutting plane?" to where the headers are displayed at the door and window openings. How is this accomplished. Thanks for your help.

Well I found the answer that I was looking for on Autodesk's forum. I will post it here for anyone else to use.

Chad: I don't think that adjusting the cutting ht. is what you are looking for but rather a change in the Display Representation of your Openings. You can do a quick test of what I mean by doing the following: Go to Desktop > Display Systems >Display Configurations On Display configurations dialogue box, pick New Use a name like Structural Edit. this configuration and on the Configuration tab, use the Remove button to take out Top Plan. In the same area, use the Add. button to add the Reflected Representation Display Set ( a default on that comes with ADT ), leave the orientation as top and OK your way out back to the drawing. Go to Desktop > Select Display and pick off your Structural Display Configuration. You may have to Regen to see your header lines over all openings. Hope you could follow that. We have this type of information and much more at Try out lounge or subscription based e-books for AutoCAD 2000 and ADT 2.0.

Thanks
