I'm looking for an equation to determine the heat gain (delta T) of an air stream passing through a HEPA filter. I have the flow rate, velocity, static press. loss, and I'm sure there's a way to determine the heat gain to the air from the pressure loss, I just can't seem to locate it.

I believe I once saw in ASHRAE a section that discussed the conversion of static pressure to heat (not just for HEPA's but for any friction source).

thanks in advance

I'll have to work in SI units here, as I'm most familiar with them...

Power (W) = Flow (m3/s) x Total Pressure Drop (N/m2)

Just about all of this becomes heat.

Brian
