Says power on mode 280W (typ) 390W (Max)

Does it matter whether it comes from the front of the screen or the back? Heat is heat.

All the power supply to the LCD is equal to heat generated ?
For me, P_power = the power to diplay images minus the power loss
Am I wrong ?
 
Virtually all the power to the TV will turn into heat.

The only other outlet for energy is the light, and that isn't much.
You have to remember that virtually all of the heat comes from the backlighting.
If you are running at reduced brightness your power loss will be much less.

Ultimately, even the light emitted is impinging on absorbing materials that will result in increased temperature within the room, unless your display is pointed out a window.
