Morning,
i've recieved a material certificate for B462 N08020 where as stated "MATERIAL STABILIZED AT 1130°C FOR 5H (WATER COOLED) AND ANNEALED AT 980°C FOR 3H (WATER COOLED"
my question is, is it correct to stabilizing it at a higher temperature than annealing?

Thanks.

Is English their first language? I am reading this as "heated until stable at 1130C and homogenized (or solution annealed) for 5hr" and then "stabilize heat treated at 980C for 3hr".
The 980C is a little hotter than I would use (prefer about 950C) but it should be fine.
I sounds like a translation issue.

Reading MTRs can be puzzle work, even when written in your language.
12 pages long but still they have to use in-house shorthand!
