Can someone tell me heating and cooling load rules of thumb for Fort Mcmurray Alberta Canada? This would be greatly appreciated.

If your asking for heating degree days = 6529

Rule of thumb - heating lots. Cooling, not quite so much.

Type of building makes a big difference, but for intial oversizing 50 Btu/hr ft2 for heating and 35 Btu/hr ft2 for cooling will give you an idea of the order of magnitude.

Thanks for the number people.
