Hi everyone. I am modelling a proposed lake that receives about 2500 acres of runoff via a channel and have prepared a model in Beta 4.11 HMS with three subwatersheds, one reach to connect the runoff to a forebay, a forebay reservoir with overflow into a lake and the lake's outlet structure.
I want to know what the anticipated flows are coming into the lake, and how much water will leave the lake during certain storm events and eventually, during summer months.
There is about 12 years of precipitation data inputted into my model but for simulations have only selected certain storms. There is also evaporation data, watershed data, elevation-area-storage functions for both reservoirs...etc. The problem is that the simulation aborts immediately, see attached photo. Initially there were errors stating that there was not enough memory, so I deleted additional reaches and toggled the run time to be the minimum (96 hours). I eventually used a design storm of the minimum amount of precipitation (6 inches) just to get the errors to subside, however now the simulation just aborts.
This is my first time using HMS, if anyone has recommendations, please let me know.
Thank you.
