This has happened to me previously, also while entering storage-discharge. Saving the model over under a different name seemed to do the trick for me.

Good luck!

Hello,

i got a similar problem. When i tried to enter time-series data for the precipitation gage, there are no values in the "time" column and i can't enter values by my self. I can only enter values for the precipitation, but when i choose another tab, the values are lost. Saving the model another name doesn't work. Whats the problem, please.

All paired and time series data are stored in the DSS file. So, the values may get lost if the links to the DSS file are missing or broken. This sometimes happens when a project is not saved appropriately under a different name; hence, it can also be corrected in the same way. I think the issue is that the data is being saved to a different DSS file than that which the program is pulling data from.

To correct the DSS links try this:

With an open project, click the project name (highest order folder) in the view screen at left. The link to the DSS file that program pulls data from is shown in the box below that. This should be the location that the project is located, if it is not, then click the folder to the right of the link and browse for the appropriate DSS file.

Go down to the folder that contains the paired or time series data that is missing values and click on the file. In the left dialog box, there should be an entry for Data Source, normally this is set to "Manual Entry," click the dropdown menu and change it to "Data Storage System." Below that, a link to a DSS file will show up, make sure it matches the same project DSS file mentioned above. The DSS pathname may also need to be corrected. Save the project, and change the Data Source back to "Manual Entry." If your data is not there now, then reenter it, and it should stay.

If your paired or time series DSS links were bad, likely your results DSS link is also bad. Click the Compute tab. For each simulation run that is set up, click on it to show its properties in the bottom dialog box. Make sure the DSS file path that shows also matches the project DSS file.

As far as not seeing the values for the time column in a time series, make sure that all other menu items are completed because the values that appear are based on your options selected. These include: Data Source, Units, Time Interval, and Time Window entered in the correct format (and that also coincides with the control specification time window). Save the project, and go back to the time series table, which should now include time values.
