Hello everyone.
I hope someone has a a reply for this.
A trivial, but exasparating problem. I have a simple 3 reach system (a canal) with a branch at a junction. The steady-flow model runs with no major warnings, and the results are reasonable.
But the profile shows a gap , the same dimensions as the 'Length Across Junction' (which is input into the junction editing window), and this visually severs the downstream reach from the upstream reach of the same river (canal). When I edit the junction and input 0 for Reach Across Length, the gap closes and a line appears, correctly representing the situation visually. But hydraulically this is not accurate.
The reach lengths for the most downstream X-sections of both the upstream reaches are set to 0 as required.
I have read the User Manual, studied Example 10, Stream Junctions, and it seems to me I followed the procedures as outlined. I've checked connectivity, Reach Order for computations,and the internal boundary conditions, and it all appears correct.
So what is the problem?
