Hello All,
I'm a new user to HEC-RAS, I'm working on a small channel that contains a bridge and culvert in the reach. I've drew the reach from upstream to downstream and the flow arrow generated reflects this. I entered in all my cross-sections but for some reason it recognizes that the section at the downstream end of my reach is where the flow originates and the distances I've input for the Downstream Reach Lengths are being shown as the distance to the next upstream section.

So, I've drawn the reach from upstream to downstream, but the model shows the flow originating at the downstream end and flowing up stream and shows my downstream cross-section as where the flow originates.

I hope I've explained my problem clearly, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

-Bill

You downstream xsec should have zero length. River Stations should start downstream and increase upstream. The standard orientation for XSECs is Left to Right Looking downstream.
