HEC-RAS Multipal Reach Problem 2

I have created a looped network model in HEC-RAS, set the distance from the last upstream cross-section to the junction at zero, and specify the juntion length across the last Upstream River Station and first downstream River Station. The problem I am having is that when I look at the multipal reach profile plot in HECRAS, the WSEL profile appears a gap (gap width=junction length)between the most upstream cross section of Downstream River Station and the most downstream cross section of Upstream River Station.

Does anyone have any idea? Thank you!

What do you mean by "looped network model?" Do you mean something like this:

While I've modeled rivers that have splits in their channels under normal flow conditions, I've always found that during flood conditions (I only modeled the 100-year flood), the islands between main channel branches became submerged and there was no need to model diversions.

As I've never performed this task in HEC-RAS, I can only speculate as to your problem. My instinct says to check your junction settings and to read the Hydraulic Reference Manual rather than the User Manual.

First of all, thank you so much for your help!! Yes, my looped network looks exactly the same like the one you posted. I'll follow your suggestion and see if it works.
