Hi, All
I am currently building a large HEC-RAS V4.0 model for simulation of flood risks in a fairly large catchment 46sq km, including some urban area on one of the tributary. We used HEC-GeoRas and extracted 1100~cross sections from LIDAR data, incorporated all the bridges and culverts. The model went through successfully the prepressing and simulation stage but failed to pass the post prepressor. I viewed the log file, it seems the water level went way over the top at the initial time step. By the way, I boundary condition (flow data) were through a DSS path link to a HEC-HMS result file.
I am not sure if this is a problem with HEC-RAS V4.0 or is something wrong with the model files. I wonder if any body have similar experience and can share.
Thanks in advance
