Hello ABAQUS Users,
I'm doing a FEA of composite beam of 54 MPa concrete using CDP model. I'm facing a problem here with the material not behaving according to the given input parameters. In the beginning phase of the analysis itself (after 41 MPa) the stress starts exceeding as can be seen in the following graph. My units are consistent and have used fine mesh too but I'm unable to resolve this issue. Does anyone have any idea regarding this problem? Thank you!

I would start from basic single element test (tension/compression) to calibrate the material model. Then I would proceed to actual bending problem only when this simple test gives expected results. You can find exemplary input files for such tests in Abaqus documentation (Verification Guide).

I did that. I did compression test, 3 point sending test and pushout test. It's working fine on all of these cases but in the bending test I'm having this problem.

Did you try with different element type ? There are several available and they are more or less suitable for various kinds of problems, especially when it comes to bending.

As I'm doing an explicit analysis. I used c3d8r and c3d6. But the problem still remains.
