Hello all,
I am facing a dilemma at operation stage . please help me out with your comments on below issue which sounds simple but I have no answer.
I have a feed mixture of 30% K2CO3 , 10% DMSO ,60% water.

K2CO3 is soluble in both DMSO & water. How to know it's amount soluble in DMSO & water preferentially . How much of it goes to both. It's more soluble in water. See internet for values. If I consider solubility in water then all K2CO3 would be just in water. &. Not dmso. How will it distribute itself

DMSO is miscible in water. K2CO3 will not "distribute" between two liquid phases (which is what I think you meant), because there should be only one liquid phase.

If you can't find data, you will need to measure it.

Good Luck,
Latexman
