I hope u all well.
I am trying to simulate RC beam using Abaqus and I am interested in studying shear behavior. I was wondering what is the best model for concrete in this case? is it smeared crack model rather than damaged plasticity model?
also which solver is better??

There are some scientific articles that compare these material models. For example, the following paper might be useful for you: "Selected Concrete Models Studied Using Willam’s Test" by A. Wosatko et al.

And if you have some experimental data then it would be best to do a comparison of different modeling techniques in Abaqus and see which one gives the results closer to those obtained in the physical test.
