Hello,
I'm doing plastic extrusion simulation in ABAQUS. so my Nozzle is of brass and Billet is of ABS material.
I have Thermal conductivity, Density, Specific heat, youngs modulus, poissions ratio, Coefficient of thermal expansion for both material.
1) Do I need more properties for both ?
2) Is plastic strain is required for Billet as it is plastic?
3) And I'm using ABAQUS 2018 so there is no CFD option so how can I approach?
4)I have assigned Solid section and this is my element. C3D8T: An 8-node thermally coupled brick, trilinear displacement and temperature. But I didnt got good flow of my material.

I don’t want to repeat what I said in the Heat Transfer forum but I’m still sure that you should use some sort of CFD instead of coupled temp-disp analysis. It can be SPH or CEL but if you don’t want to use these kinds of advanced analyses then just go for regular CFD. Either in older version of Abaqus or using different software. For CFD SIMULIA has 3D Experience platform, XFlow and PowerFLOW. These programs can be coupled with Abaqus too.
