Help getting UL approved with multiple designs and variations?

I have investigated UL listing and the price is somewhat prohibitive on small or custom scales. I have lightweight hollow columns fabricated with a cementitious material that receives outdoor column luminaries. There are luminaries that I can buy oem, but there are designs I have that I can incorporate the material for the columns in the luminaries; therefore, I cannot buy them with a UL listing. If I use that material and the design changes it needs to be tested. In short I guess the real question is how to find companies that make approved luminaries oem that have the ability to change designs according to their parameters or have enough experience to know what they accept?, the internet free search is getting quite corrupt.
