Hello All,
I'm a controls guy so I could use some help on identifying the two level device located on the right size of the guard in the attached picture. I believe it to be an air release set-up but the truck drivers I'm told have always had to manually bleed the air from the pumps before being able to unload.
Thanks for any help,

Do you mean the thing with the red handle?

Would be good if you could take another couple of photos from the side or draw a schematic of what it is connected to.

If the seal lines are connected it could be something to do with the pump rather than the process.

What are the two 1" lines - air? water? drains?

give us a bit of help here.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

The device under the red-handled valve on top of the small cylindrical vessel looks like an air vent (similar to a steam trap). How it works in your system is a a mystery. It does not look like it would vent air from the pump and piping effectively.
