Hello everyone.

I am a complete novice when it comes to electronics and hope that some of the experts here can help with a little problem. I'm designing a keyboard device which is specifically designed to be used with PC games. I have already completed the external shape/design using AutoCAD and a 3D printer and I'm now at the stage where I can include moving keys on the prototype.

Due to it being used for gaming rather than typing on like a regular keyboard it needs to have responsive feeling keys which have a similar tactile movement to laptop keyboard keys. They need to have approximately 2 - 2.5mm of travel and require between 4 and 7 newtons of force to operate.

The problem I have is finding suitable tactile button switches to use under the keys. I would like to trial a large selection of button switches before deciding which is the most suitable but I'm having trouble finding many of them on the internet. Could anyone advise on where they can be purchased from?

So far I have only managed to find two examples of button switches which may be suitable:

Thanks in advance for any advice. :)
