Please, somebody that has this standard, latest revision.
Can you tell me if SA193 Gr. B7 bolting can be used in a valve with design pressure of 1620 psig and design temperature of 950 ºF?

Many thanks in advance

I doubt very much that you can use A193 B7M bolts for this service.

A193 B7M are bolting for low alloy carbon steels which wont work for these service conditions. (Design stress per ASME B31.3 is only 8.5 at 950F) I would expect that you have to use some other bolting suitable for high temperature service. Depends on what flange we're talking about also.

By the way Sharq, ASME B16.34 IS for valves
it is B16.36 which cover orifice flanges

Allowable stress for A193-B7 at such temperature is 8.5 ksi. However, I still understand that it can be used in this service condition.

For further consideration, what is your valve body material? I always find A193-B16 for low alloy steel valve.
