Hi,

I'm working on a composite linear calculation on abaqus 6.10-1.

Until today, it run without any problem. But today, every time I launch it, the job is aborted and I got the following .txt error file:

*** Error: An out-of-memory error occurred. On 32-bit versions of Windows, you can use the boot option /3GB /userva=SizeInMBytes to increase the amount of memory that can be used by the application. Please refer to Microsoft's documentation for more detailed information. Alternatively, if you have access to a 64-bit operating system, you can try running the application there, where the memory is not limited to 2 or 3GB.

It looks like the job is requiring too much memory exceeding Win32's limit of 2GB. You can change Windows setting to utilize 3GB to get some more memory assuming the physical memory is in the machine. Back when I was on 32 bit this error was typically solved by reducing the element count. I hope this helps.

Ok, I'll try to reduce the element count.

But do you know how to set windows to use 3GB memory instead of 2GB?
