The company I work for has a GRIP file used to set up drawings. The GRIP file prompts the user through a step by step program that sets up the drawing title block and eventualy gets everything filled in. This includes the part description, rev number, what was updated, the date, etc...

What I need to do is update the GRIP file to include another prompt. What this prompt needs to do is, in short, ask the user for a value of the part and once it has this value put it into a note that will be displayed on the drawing. I am fairly green when it comes to writing GRIP programs and have been looking through some UG GRIP programming manuals. These manuals do not seem to be user friendly. I have contacted my companies Siemens rep and am aquiring a different manual, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
JP

If you could provide the source file (.grs) and a detailed description of exactly what it is that you want, someone might be able to help.

The Help documentation has a comple section and some examples of GRIP. Look in the Automation - UG Open.
