I HAVE PRO/ENGINEERING SCHOOL EDITION.
IS THERE A WAY TO PRINT TO A NON PLOTTER? i HAVE A BROTHER DCP-7040.
IF NOT IS THERE A WAY TO CONVERT TO A FILE I COULD USE WITH VECTOR DRAW. I HAVE TRIED TO SAVE AS DWG, BUT THE PRO/ENGINEERING PROGRAM SHUTS DOWN WITHOUT SAVING AND VECTOR DRAW CANNOT OPEN THIS FILE OR THE SAVE AS DWG FILES.

Try printing the file to a PDF printer driver. Then print the PDF file on your DCP-7040.

Check your caps lock button. Pro/E files are all lower case. Spaces not allowed either.

So much for PTC claiming their products are all Micro$oft compatable when it comes to file names.

I had the same problem saving out drawings as dwg files - Pro/E (Wildfire 3) would just crash out. For some reason this wouldn't happen if you unticked the Show Format box on Page Setup first. After a while, it got irritating (and I wanted dwgs to have the page format!) and I contacted maintenance, who sent me a newer build and this corrected the problem.

Hey there I tried to do this (untick show format box on page setup), but also when i tried to save in .DWG format the Proe wildfire 4.0 crashed out. is there any other solution? or could u send me that newer build? J.L.
