Our SolidWorks dimensions are using the JIS standard. In our imperial drawings, the inch (") symbol will not automatically be applied to dimensions. They show up when the dimension is set to Feet-Inches. Right now I've been adding the inch symbol to the text in the properties box. I know you can set this up as a dimension favourite but I have to select the favourite for each dimension.

I Don't have a solution for your problem as far as a setting. However, once you have your drawing dimensioned you could window select the entire drawing (or one view at a time). This will highlight all the dimensions within the window, and you could add the (") to them at one time. Also, if you did not want all dimensions selected you can hold the "Ctrl" key and select multiple dimensions to change at one time. The nice thing about the window select is that it will not affect any notes within the window, just the dimensions.

Hope that helps.
